If you're a fan of the Powerpuff Girls, then surely you would know about the recent controversy about the fact that Cartoon Network didn't give Cathy Cavadini (Blossom), Tara Strong (Bubbles) and EG Daily (Buttercup) a chance to reprise their respective roles due to a "creative decision" apparently, yet they asked Tom Kenny (The Narrator and the Mayor), Roger L. Jackson (Mojo Jojo) and Jennifer Hale (Ms. Keane) to reprise their roles.

While I was disappointed when I first heard about it and understand how dismayed the three voice actresses are at not being given a chance. This might sound like an unpopular opinion, but I think I'll still give the show a fair chance when it comes out, regardless and then I'll give a solid opinion on it. As in my past experience, having all of the original voice actors in a new show doesn't affect its quality. Or at least not that much.

For example, they got the original cast of the Teen Titans to reprise their roles in Teen Titans Go (or Toddler Titans as MrEnter calls it) and that show is atrocious! Also, I have to say the girls do look better here in the reboot than they did in Dance Pantsed, where they looked like they were made out of cardboard! (I've provided two images down below for a comparison)

Though I do have to say the new voice overs for Blossom, Buttercup and Bubbles have got some big shoes to fill!

So, yeah, that's my two cents on the matter.

I agree 100% with you. I just found out today and was really upset. The voice actors are not coming back and that Craig McCracken will not be working on it?? How do you feel about how the new PPG's look?
